We made our way to Spud Point Crab Co. in Bodega Bay. A lot of you have recommended this spot for their clam chowder, but what really blew me away was their crab sandwich. If you are visiting Bodega Bay, this is a stop you do not want to miss.

Clam Chowder That Delivers
We started with their famous clam chowder. Both the white and the Manhattan red were packed with flavor. The white clam chowder was creamy with plenty of clam in every bite. Everything was chopped small enough to blend but still large enough to taste.
The Manhattan chowder had a rich tomato base with a good hit of garlic. I do not usually go for red clam chowder, but this one surprised me.
The Crab Sandwich That Stole the Show
Now let’s talk about that crab sandwich. It was expensive but worth every penny. Big chunks of fresh crab packed into soft bread. The flavor was clean and rich. This might be one of the best crab sandwiches I have ever had.
I barely got a few bites before my wife and kids took it over. That says it all. I will be ordering another one next time.

Spud Point Crab Co. is known for their clam chowder but if you visit for the chowder, stay for the crab sandwich. The ingredients are fresh. The flavors are balanced. The service is quick. If you are in Bodega Bay, this is one of those spots that lives up to the hype.
