We reached the top of Frog Woman Rock, formerly known as “Squaw Rock”. Since I can remember I was always curious about this mountain between Cloverdale and Hopland. My mom and grandparents would tell me “legends” surrounding it. In this video I go over some of the stories that I grew up hearing surrounding the rock.

Adventure

This adventure has been on my bucket list since I was a child. In the past I had explored the mountain with a drone but I had never actually climbed it. I knew that people had been to the top but I figured it was the property owners. That all changed when I went on Instagram and saw that Tatiana Peavey, another vlogger had been to the top.

I DMed her and asked if it was possible to climb to the top without trespassing. She said it was totally possible and even gave me a map with directions on how to get to the top. I then picked up my niece and we started our journey.

The map was based on Tatiana’s last journey up and since then the river had changed. Xenia and I had to walk down to 3 river “beaches” before finding a way across. After making it across the river we found a railroad tunnel that went through the mountain and that’s when the journey really began.

Some of our Favorite Stills

Take a look at some of our favorite stills from our adventure up Frog Woman Rock.

Would I do it again?

I would not do it again unless I had permission from the property owners to go up using their property. In order to get to the top without trespassing you have to literally scale up parts of the mountain. Trying to get up without trespassing is very dangerous and can easily result in death.
