Working for my Wife’s Business

In this vlog I am working for my wife’s business, On Fleek Studio in Windsor, CA. We founded this business in 2015 and a lot has changed since we opened. A lot has also stayed the same.

No Chill Mustafa the Receptionist

When we first moved to the Windsor Town Green, I worked the reception area along with being in charge of the marketing and advertising for the business. I also got to train new team members and help with the interviews. We all helped with sales.

We Started Our Businesses 1 Year Apart

My wife, Brittney Tolosa started On Fleek Studio around 6 months after I started my advertising agency full-time. Both of us being entrepreneurs was a huge risk but in the end it all paid off.

We spent our early and mid-20s constantly working. This was totally fine because going to On Fleek Studio was always so fun. There was always something going on at the store. Everyday was a new adventure and I wouldn’t have liked to spend my 20’s any other way.

Eventually we were able to build a strong team and I was phased out. My tasks now only consisted of helping with marketing and advertising. Around this time we met some of our favorite people who are now lifelong friends that we consider family.

Playing to Strengths

Pre-Covid we threw many events which made our team grow closer. As we grew closer we saw the strengths our team members had and we utilized those strengths to create the brand we have today.

A Year Into Covid

Since Covid things have drastically changed. We were closed most of 2020 and had to change the way we operate the business with limited capacity, temperature checks, etc. We still have the same core values and can’t wait until we can throw parties again.
