Mitote Park, is a Santa Rosa Food Park located in the Roseland area. At Mitote Food Park you won’t just find delicious food, it is also a gathering place with multiple shops, live music and more.
One day I was driving through Sebastopol Road in the Roseland area of Santa Rosa and I stumbled upon this Santa Rosa Food Park. My wife and I saw multiple food trucks in the Dollar Tree parking lot. Being as adventurous as we are, we decided to give it a try. We were blown away by everything that was going on around the area.
There was a man playing live music, vendors with carts surrounding the trucks and almost everyone was speaking Spanish or Spanglish. In the distance you could see murals, more vendors and small shops. Since that day I have been to Mitote Park multiple times and every time I see something new.
Stills from the Vlog
I ate the food so fast that I didn’t get a change to take pictures. Here’s some stills of this Food Adventure.
Mitote Park, a Place to Gather
It is not rare to see Sonoma County’s Hispanic business owners and leaders hanging out here. Along with business types you also get a lot of families, people on dates and just about any type of demographic you can think about.
There are many caucasians and people from all races/ethnicities that frequent Mitote Park seeking out Hispanic food and Hispanic culture. This Santa Rosa Food Park is welcoming to everyone.
The Nicest People & Best Service
Being a cultural hub for the Latino Community, the Latino Culture carries over to the establishments. The vendors are warm and welcoming and complete strangers will feel comfortable talking to you. People are also very respectful and respect their craft. It doesn’t matter what type of job they are doing, they take pride in their work and it shows in the dishes.
It’s almost like everyone that’s at the Food Park is happy to be there and wants to be there.
Mitote Park During Covid-19
As of writing this, Covid-19 has hit Sonoma County’s Latino Community the hardest. Mitote Park has gone above and beyond to ensure the safety of people visiting the area.
Every table is clean and sanitized. There is also a bottle of sanitizer on every table. There are markers everywhere so you can be aware of your distance from others.
Where Mitote Park goes above and beyond is by the people that it attracts. The people are very respectful of maintaining distance and keeping their masks on when they’re not seated and eating.
